Like a prophecy coming true, Carson Wentz was shipped out of Philadelphia on February 18, 2021, going to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2021 third round pick and a conditional 2022 pick. With January bringing football fans a trade of Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, the Wentz trade marks the third major movement of a quarterback in 2021. Let’s take a look at both the real-life and fantasy implications of the Carson Wentz trade.

Top 20 Wide Receivers for 2020 Fantasy Football, a Recap

It’s negative 19 degrees out, your power has been out for three days and you’re wearing every piece of clothing you own while burning the last of your Hustler magazine collection in the middle of your living room floor for warmth. Thank goodness you have 8% battery left on your cell phone, just enough to pull up your fourteenth favorite fantasy football site and read about last year’s top 20 wide receivers. In this series I’m going over the top players at each position, listed in order of how many total fantasy points they actually scored this season in half PPR leagues. This is not a ranking for 2021 fantasy football. I repeat, THIS IS NOT A RANKING FOR 2021! I’ve already gone over the final 2020 fantasy football rankings for QBs and RBs, if your phone has enough battery left then give them a glance. Top 20 Running Backs for 2020 Fantasy Football, a Recap

A couple weeks back I gave you the recap of top 20 quarterbacks for 2020 fantasy football. Turns out, I was more than proficient at ranking QBs this year. At least I can tell my lady I was proficient at something in 2020. Alright, you got me, the lady’s actually Kerryon Johnson and I’ll have to communicate with him from at least 500 feet. After digging through the QBs I began to look at the year end running back rankings, comparing them to my preseason rankings. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t pretty. Of course, we all missed at the top with Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley and Ezekiel Elliott. Even if I give myself a pass at the top end, it wasn’t good. I blame that whole pandemic thing. You may have deduced it from the title: in this series I’m going over the top players at each position, listed in order of how many fantasy points they actually scored this season. The Shadow Coverage Report: 2020 Review

Does Shadow Coverage matter…..I mean I hope so I just spent the whole year writing about it, but instead of just hoping it does let’s take a look at 2020. Just an FYI if we find out it doesn’t, I just want to say I can’t wait to try something new here at the great company of Razzball in 2021.

The first thing we should do is review the data of all the wide receivers we wrote about in are articles weeks 1- 17 weeks. Granted not all these players ended up seeing shadow coverage, but it is important to look at the players who we typically think will see shadow coverage week in and week out. Later on we will review PFF’s shadow coverage matchups to see the overall impact shadow coverage had in 2020, but for now let’s dive into the weekly finishes of the players we tracked this season.

Curtis Samuel 2021 Fantasy Sleeper

Can you believe it’s Donkey Teeth’s last week at Ghostbusters Fantasy Camp? Pretty soon he’ll be back from the upside-down, completely normal and unchanged from battling demons in the abyss. He even sent me a message on the Ouija board yesterday! It said, “Listen to the podcasts backwards.” So I took the ol’ pod, played it backwards and slowed it down a bunch to match the slow jam vibe I was feeling. And wouldn’t you know? There were secret messages hidden within! The first message was, “Mitch Trubisky sold his soul to get drafted before Mahomes.” Now we know! The second message? Well, it’s that Curtis Samuel is a sleeper for 2021 fantasy football!

Quarterback Carousel: Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff

The Super Bowl prep week wasn’t completely devoid of football action, as two marquis quarterbacks ended up switching teams: Jared Goff will be going to the Detroit Lions, and Matthew Stafford will be going to the Los Angeles Rams. While most fantasy football players are in the off-season right now, it’s fair to say a number of dynasty managers are waking up to discover their QB1 will be playing in a completely different situation this fall. Let’s take a look at some way-too-early thoughts on the situation that Stafford and Goff will find themselves in come the 2021 regular season.
